found something unusual while breeding tonight

was breeding a jersey angus cross cow tonight and noticed something strange that i have never felt before. just past the cervix i felt a hard object.  probalby at least size of a basketball.  it was still inside the hip bones but felt like it extended past there.  could this be one of the stomachs.  I have no clue what it was but hopefully someone can give me some clues.  thanks

I had a similar experience a few years back and the cow was trying to calve at the time.  I had her examined by the vet who advised shipping her asap.

We'll they was my first guess that it might be a calf.  But I couldn't find any legs or Any distinct features.  But it is possible.  I'll have vet check it out when he cones later to preg check
