I'm anxious to see the cattle in person.  Looking through the book, I certainly didn't get the impression that the quality was down at all.  I keep seeing Bob and Nick add more great consignors every year. Getting anxious for the sale season.  ;D

I heard that Harwood's sold all of their females right off the farm.  Didn't really have any to bring down.

I've never been to the sale before and am considering attending this year.  My only concern is that I'll be going to a sale that lacks consistancy in the offering.  Sure, there are always some high selling ones out of it.  With that many consigners, it seems as though everyone could trade among themselves and make it a great sale.  Not saying these are bad things, just wondering if its worth my time to go.

In order to help everyone judge for themselves about the quality of cattle and genetics being offered at the 14th Annual Foundation Female Sale and the 2nd Annual Rare Semen & Embryo Auction I thought it would be appropriate to include the web address to view the sale offering ( http://www.foundationfemalesale.com ). Now I am pretty biased regarding the quality of the cattle being offered so I will not try to inject my opinion to this thread.

As for Harwood's not having cattle in the sale, yes it is true they will not have any cattle in the sale. The reasoning behind this decision is complicated, but I can guarantee you that there has been no fall out between Dwyer's and Harwood's, we still work together on other areas of the business. With Harwood's not being in the sale this year we decided to limit our Commercial numbers and increase our Registered numbers.

If you have any personal questions about the sale or would like to request a catalog for the sale feel free to give me a call or send me an email. You can find all of my contact information at http://www.foundationfemalesale.com .

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to evaluate our sale lineup being offered September 4th and 5th, and we hope to see each of you Labor Day Weekend!

Thanks Again,

Nick Dwyer

I have an unbiased opinion and I'll add it here.  If you are close and don't have anything going on, this sale is a must attend.  You'll be hard pressed to find the variety and quality that this sale offers in one location.  I guess it depends on what you are looking for, but I personally don't see the quality drop off that has been mentioned, but I'm not looking for 5 way clubby crosses either.  So maybe that's where the quality has dropped off?  To me, there's more predictability in some of the cow lines now offered.  I guess that's my opinion.

I always make it a priority to attend this sale. The quality of cattle is amazing and imo gets better each year. Bob, Nick, and the crew do an outstanding job of running the show down there. ColdWthr-its worth ur time to go, ill definatly be in roseville labor day weekend  8)
