It seems like to me that the industry has demanded that cattle be tightened up as far as uniformity is concerned. Seems like everything is starting to look like angus. This tightens up carcass size, carcass quality, and etc.. There is still variance in the breed. I got to wondering if there were any data out there breaking down the %'s of breeds that have done the appendix type pedigrees? What % of Gelviehs are Balancers. What % of registered Limousin are Limi flex? I hear the Durham Red program is going down but what % of Shorthorns were they?
