the judge loved Sargent's heifer. :) she's pretty nice but one that is pretty moderate.  the judge said quote "she has lots of presents to offer the industry" everyone was worried about this calf . because the whole cattle barn was expecting this . this was the big talk all week long ,

I heard that although" very nice", the heifer was small, flat made and very base narrow.

She was the talk of the barn all week and everybody knew it would take something really good to get around her. They also had an october calf that was 3rd in class, but I didn't care for her that much. She was plenty wide, thick, and soggy, but she wasn't very good on the move and I thought she was a touch too moderate.

Hard to be very nice and at the same time "small, flat made, and very base narrow".  I seriously doubt Sargent would bother to drag a bad one.  You probably heard from someone that was jealous.

Teri Barber can judge cattle.

My thoughts exactly. She was not a small calf by any means. And she was about as flat as a bowling ball...

Do you seriously think Sargent would carry around a heifer that was "small, flat made and very base narrow." Doubt it .

Much less do you think Teri Barber would pick one to win that was made that way .

I was just asking what everybody thought because of what I had heard.  If the general consensus is that she is the best thing that ever walked then so be it.  Remember, not everone sees them the same. Doesn't mean its wrong. Its an opinion. And even if she has some holes ( which every single one has ) that doesn't mean shes not great.
