I don't think we have any more semen off Polled Ruler we didn't get much.  I thought that there might be more in the USA because he went to Larry Handy's in CO.  I have seen a picture of Polled Ruler some where either a Maine Anjou Magazine or Semen book.

Doc-sun that cow you have comes from Glen Davidson from Gull Lake Sk.  But the cow has some of the KBC breeding in her back ground and that is the cattle we owned.

Do you remember the  cow, Gust Nymri?

That cow is really nice! Wish I had her! (thumbsup)

FYI, my wife's uncle has a bull that he may be wanting to sell here soon that could easily be an AI bull. Fullblood that we bought together.
His name is BNT Fauna's Razor if you want to look up his pedigree. He is a diamond in the rough that has never been discovered on the fullblood scene because I breed his daughters to Shorthorns and he has purbred Maines, black and red.

semen is available on the 8S sire.

he was used in at least 2 herds in canada, the one she came from and another one and limited use in the US.

he is almost a true total outcross to most fullblood maine genetics.  especially his sire.

We had a paramount cow back in the 80's that was almost all white.  The thing that stands out was she milked like a dairy cow. Phcc lesleah was her name.  I am thinking about flushing 8s to prairie blizzard later this fall.  On another sad note, my great friend Larry Handy died this last spring.  He had a wealth of Maine-Anjou knowledge.

how about epinal or inox?

epinal was a great bull with lots of good sons and daughters but is in most current pedigrees more than once as is cunia.  when i saw inox sell in a sale to calvin fryar at chickasha ok, he was great phenotypically for his time but would not work today because of volume.  he also lacks milk.  i would like to find another like kuda but more obscure in blood. pic attached below

Sad to hear about Handy passing away. I would contact John Schuessler in Llano TX  county line maines he worked for the association early in his career he might be able to help you with some of the old fullbloods.
