A friend of ours had a bucket calf at a show once and everyone loved it. I bet every little kid who walked through the barn had their picture taken with the calf. Anyway, once this young couple with a baby in a baby stroller was walking through and the girl yelled, "Look at that baby cow!" and she let go of the stroller and it kept rolling forward and she was running toward the calf. Her husband (or w/e) seemed just as excited about seeing the calf as she was. He didn't seem the notice that their stroller was just rolling away slowly. Finally it stopped when it crashed into a a wheelbarrel full of manure and old shavings. Then when they were finished petting the calf, they just took their stroller and went on. Poor kid-- I bet he/she was scarred for life. XD

One of our first years showing, there were some huge bulls across from us. Some ladies came up to us and asked, "Are those their udders, or...?"  Then they were asking if they have to have some kind of support for them when walking, etc.

Another time, a guy walked through the barn pointed one out to his kids, and said that one's ready to milk. The owner said, "You can milk it, but I don't think you'll like what you get." The kids were really confused.

Last year, a guy was drinking and had a beer in his hand. He went in with some cows that were across the aisle. One of them kicked him and he dropped his cup. He was not-so-smart, and went back in there to get his cup.

One person at a fair last year said at an earlier fair, a guy walked up and patted her cow and it kicked him in the face. He tried to say it was her fault.

I always like the strange sights you see at the fair... The high heels in the barn, really short skirts, tight pants, etc. At our state fair, some teenagers came through the barn on old style roller skates and were taking pictures with the cows.

One year, we were getting ready to feed them their grain and a lady with kids asked if we were feeding the cows, we told her we were and she was excited, telling the kids, "Let's go see them feed the cows!" We went and put the grain down and went back to the tack area. The lady as there with the kids, got bored fast and left. I thought it was funny, she was all excited about us feeding them grain, then realized it wasn't very exciting after all.

We have had people ask if they could take the hair, too.

It's always funny to watch them walk through with their noses plugged, watching carefully  where they step.

I'm sure there's so many more, but that's all I can think of...

There is another one I forgot. Last week when we were unloading in Rapid a bunch of drunk guys just got out from the Rodeo and were walking through tieouts. One of the drunk guys reached through the panel and started messing with a big 2 year old Horned Hereford bull. He kept grabbing at the horns and asking if he was going to gore him. I started cheering for the bull at that point.
