Did you get to see these bulls. I really like the Lot 2 bull and wondered how they all sold?

I didn't get to the sale myself (I was in Adelaide) but it was quite good. 42 from 43 bulls sold to average $5357 - last year they averaged $4621.
Futurity topped at $14,000 for lot 9, Futurity EU-Bull to The Grove. I'm not sure who got lot 2 but I'll see what I can find out for you.

Meanwhile, Yamburgan had a fantastic sale too. 74 from 75 bulls sold to average $7228.
Top was a stud record of $28,000 for Yamburgan Everest E102, which was bought by Lyn Nitschke at Carlton Shorthorns, Hahndorf, SA, who also bought another bull for $5000 for her commercial herd.
Wynyard bought Yamburgan Ossie E99 for $16,000, Dalgonally bought Yamburgan Jafar E120 for $14,000, Belmore bought Yamburgan Jaguar E274 for $9000, and Weebollabolla bought two bulls to a top of $10,000 as well as 50 straws of semen from Yamburgan Emperor E103.

Marellan/Royalla topped at $12,000 to a Victorian Hereford breeder, and strong commercial support saw 46 of 49 bulls average $5402.

Bull sales across all breeds are still firing on all cylinders, and it looks like ram sales are going to follow suit.  <beer>

That's an interesting pedigree on the bull Belmore bought, Yamburgan Jaguar E274. His sire Dunbeacon Bentley dam goes right back to the dam of Venture.
To sell 74 of 75 bulls for a $7228 average is pretty exciting! (thumbsup)
