To get an accurate weight you need to make sure you weigh the hiefer at the same time of the day, you may have weighed her full the first time and empty the second, when we were monitoring a fat steers weight to see where he would class at out fair we weighed him full in the morning, tied him in the stall for the day like normal and weighed him in the evening, prior to feeding time, he had dropped 65 pounds, that is just the daily swing, he lost that with just normal bodily activity. So try weighing her first thing in the morning or last thing in the evening a few times to see what is going on with her gain.

We fed the Show String Champions Choice for years with good success, What Show String feed are you feeding?

Show String Creep/Developer Feed (MED)

Show String Heifer Mix (MED)

Show String Beef Grower/Finisher (MED)

Show String Champions Choice - Beef Ration (MED)

Show String EZ Fill

What does she weigh?  It looks like your from Fresno?  When was the last time you weighed before and rate of gain?  It was very hot a week ago and that will effect the way they eat?

half of her pen is shaded and she has a fan that blows on her all day and she gets rinsed in the morning when its cool and a deep scrub bath at night time to keep her cool throughout the night.... shes getting a flake of hay in the morning along with 32 pounds of sure champ beast grain and a scoop of sun glo cattle explosion....shes eating most of it its just mainly little pieces left...but she did just get out of heat yesterday...as of Tuesday night she weighed 916 and she has to weigh 1000lbs to make weight for my county fair that is in 28 days.

I would weigh her in the morning and then weigh her again that evening just to see the difference, make sure you are weighing her full when you get to the fair. if she gains 2 pounds a day that is 56 pounds, then she eats her morning feed, 16 pounds, plus drinks a 5 gallon bucket of water 40 pounds, right their she could weigh 56 pounds more than if she was empty, 10 gallons of water 80 pounds. it all depends on when you weigh in, if it is when you get there you need to try and fill her up prior to loading, if it is later after you arrive keep feed, hay and water in front of her until weigh in.

If you can get her to gain 2.5 to 3 plus a full belly prior to weigh in you should make weight with room to spare.

If you have a scale available I would weigh her twice a week (Sat/Wed or something like that) in the evening to see how she is progressing, you can make feed change decisions from that data.
