What size generator do you need to run 2 Sullivan Blow Dryers with bothswithes on, my generator will run one but the other can only have 1 switch on and no heat boost on either . Also, what brands do you prefer and other  info. you might have on generator use.  I could buy another and have 2 genertors but would rather only pack 1 around. Thanks, Steve

add up the total amperage on "both" units......and go from there......the amperage for the "heaters" ( the other swith) is where all the "power is needed...how big (5500watt?) is your old one.....there is quite an array of choices........personally i would prefer a diesel generator...( only runs @ 1700 rpm  vs.  3400....not loud and annoying noise to listen to......)  but they are quite pricey.....your choice will cme down to physical size.....if your traveling....2 smaller units may be handier than1 large one.......and one or both come in handy for other generator needs as well........the same with a physically larger one....great to have around....but the larger ones ( unless they are mounted to a atv traileer ect...)  are pretty hard for 1 person to move about ......unless your rolling it on concrete all the time....or mounted on a tralier....how far are yoiu running your extension cords ????  ...to long of an extension cord  will give you the same overload condition as well....many choices out there......find the total amerage of the units and leave yourself about another 20%.....this will give you a place to start....jbarl

we got a 6500 honda. it works decently ok, but i would go for a larger one, as when we pull to the summer jackpots, we have a few fans on + the blowers. it just can't handle that much.

We have a Briggs and Stratton 6500 and it runs both blowers, lights and nipco in the winter with out any problems.
