So Wednesday went great, i walked cash. and my friends dad took him from the Chute. WE achieved so much that night by walking, and just did great. But today i worked with my steer in the morning and decided that I wanted to pull him from the Chute and i did and got kicked three times, They said that i needed to give him more rope, so then we start doing good. not as good as Wednesday but pretty good.  We did that for like three hours. Then we decided to try this afternoon. I did the chute and got kicked two other times.Answer These Questions-
* Is he mad at me?
* Should I have an adult do the chute until he becomes fully halter broken?
* What did I do wrong?

P.s. My steer is a Shorthorn purebred and He weights around 450 lbs.

Try tieing some tin cans to his tail.  We did that with a kicker once and it cured him of kicking.  The noise that the cans make when they kick back seems to scare them and they associate that with kicking and eventually stop, or  so the theory goes.  Good luck.

Put the sides of the chute on horizontally and tie an empty feed bag on either side about level with the strs flank put two empty spray cans in each bag. The str will kick at the bags and they will make noise he will kick until sick of it. If you go back in the old threads about three weeks I have have a post called Kicking Hfr with people giving good ideas.
