It's been several years since I flushed any cows.  If I remember right the donor is given shots for about five or so days. some days are given twice a day. The last cow I did got knots everywhere from all the shots. Is it common for all donors to get this many shots. Is there anyway to not have to give so many shots.  Thanks

They have a one shot protocol for IVF now at trans ova. Not sure if there is one for conventional flushes or not.  (thumbsup)

Conventional flush..still plenty of shots needed!

Not to highjack the thread, but has anyone gotten along well with the one shot protocol on IVF?  I tried it on 2 this spring, got 1 and 3 embryos.  Went back to the 3 day protocol, and the third donor averaged close to 30 on 3 flushes.

I was not brave enough to try the one shot protocol on her; she was working too well.

Also curious about the one shot deal for IVF. Anyone tried it?

Still plenty of shots to give on the conventional flush last time I set a cow up for one. I alternated sided and locations and never noticed any knots.
