I have been told that running a goat in with your show calves can heal up ringworm. Can anyone clear this up for me? How does this work? I was first told that it had to be a Billy goat then I was told that it didn't have to be a Billy but it had to be a white goat. Thanks.

I'm by no means an expert, but i think someone may be pulling your leg on the white goat deal. We have almost as many "white goats" as we do red and black cattle, but we still get an occasional case of ringworm. We even rotate pastures between cattle, Boers and horses and we still have the same common cases anyone else might get.  I wonder if this is not more of a old wives tale than fact. And unless you intend to invest a lot of time and money in fencing, there are way  better and more proven ways to get rid of the ringworm!

I agree that it sounds a little corny!  I have read on this website that others have used a goat so I thought that I would ask. I' m a science based person and wondered how it worked.
