I have been ai'ing my cattle for a few years.  I have someone local to my area to synchronize and ai some heifers for them.  I only have to travel a few miles.  What is the going rate for my time?  Thanks!

I am syncranizing the guy who's property butts up to ours and i can see the farm from my house. He is a great guy lets us hunt fish ride and everything on his land. He delivers gravel to our house and everything with his business and has always been a great neighbor. I have bred and sync 11 so far i have charged him 5 dollars a head for labor plus medication costs and cidr costs. But around here (eastern ohio) there is two of us who ai for people and we both charge 35 for first cow and trip and 10 dollars after that per head. So really its whatever you think is fair. My neighbor has been good to me so i am still charging because im not doing it for free but im only driving half mile to do it. So it really is your call on price.

For good family friends I charge cost of supplies, cost of semen and delivery and $18/hd AI fee.
