We had a great show season this year, when I get my pictures from Pearl I will share with you. But, here are two heifers that had a few runs late this season that the kids are excited about!
The first picture is a March heifer, sired by a bull we raised and sold last fall (Steel Force embryo bull) and her dam is a Fat Butt 3 year old cow. She and her dam won champion pair in both junior and open at Ozark Empire Fair a few weeks ago, and the calf is bred and owned for our son (he bought the cow as a heifer off his sister). The calf the cow had last year (first calf) was sired by Dream On, steered, and ran through our carcass contest where he ended up with a 16.5 inch rib eye, Choice- and yield grade 2!
The second picture is a February Shockforce x HPRP Lady Prime embryo heifer. We showed her at State Fair were there were 6 in her class, and she was second in both the open and junior show. She was just weaned a few weeks ago, so she is really green.
Anyway, I think the kids will have fun running with these two and a few other spring calves we have! Two pretty nice heifer calves! We are excited to see what the next year brings them...
