Good guys,bad guys,cowboys and indians.

Who were the good guys and who were the bad guys?Who was the superior race? One side had the bible....the other side had their religion. Who was in the right and who was in the wrong? Weren't deSota and the Europeans pretty cruel. Did the indians that killed Custer at the little big horn go to hell. Did the farm boy from Kansas who killed enemy in WW1 go to hell?What about Black Kettle,Roman Nose,Tom Custer? What about the Dog Soldier war society branch of the Cheyenne indians? Did people who fought on the side of the Confederates in the civil war go to hell? Was Abe Lincoln gay? How tall was Roman Nose really? What about Oakland Raider fans? What the hell is wrong with those people? Are all Iowan women corn fed? These are the things that keep me up at night. ;D

If I were an American Indian, I would have made it a top priority to kill Custer and most the white man for that matter. It was either kill or be killed. I just wish our public schools would not censor history books.

Now, now!!  Don't be knocking the Iowa women--we've got quite a few "Iowa Babes" that post on this site and with the member locator function they may be tempted to find you where you live!!  I was raised by one, and I'm married to one, and I can only make postive comments about them--it was a lesson hard learned!!

Singer/Comedian Ray Stevens ( who was born in the county south of me ) had a song where a squirrel on the loose caused the conversion of a whole church congregation whether they needed baptizing or not - don't you think he could whip that dog if he caught him.

Most of the latter day plains indians played war all the time. They constantly fought other tribes. They raided and stole horses and women from each other. I'm saying they were a noble savage but didn't white men and invade their territory. Although they were kind of nomads. And didn't the Cheyenne move out of the Minnesota area to say the Eastern Colorado area. And because the horse was domesticated in the late 1700- early 1800's by the plains indians weren't they trespassing on land that the clovis and folsum people(if you believe in that stuff)? It seems like all conflict occurs when space becomes limited and people are pushed together.There were good and bad white men but the indians were basically finally starved out when the buffalo were systematicallykilled out to put a final end to the indian trouble makers. But.......what the hell is wrong with Oakland Raider fans?

Oakland Raiders fans are Lyle Alzado-less, that's what is wrong with them. That guy made watching the Raiders fun whether they won or not.

You guys would think a lot different about things if you had to live with the indains everyday like me.

most conflict starts well before that.  sparta and athens weren't even remotely close.  england and france were not close.  england and the US were not close.  mexico and the US were not close.  japan and the US were not close.  england and germany were not close.  france and germany were not close.  when authoritarians seek to put people in close proximity to serve their needs, THAT is when the seeds of conflict are planted.  most conflicts are started because someone thinks they ought to get stuff others worked for.
