I have shown steers for 5 years and this year is my last year in FFA showing so i thought i would switch it up a little and i got a market heifer...she doesnt kick or anything when i brush her or wash her but when i go to walk her she wont walk unless someone is behind her and when she finally does decide to walk on her own she takes off and drags me i never had this problem with any of my steers and i just dont know what to do so if you have any suggestions  or anything please tell me because i have her first jackpot in a month.

This guy has some videos showing the way I prefer to break calves.  Really doesn't take long if they are already fairly gentle.  I can usually get them to leading in a couple of 20-minute sessions.

Crothers (the video knabe posted) does a good video too.  Don't need the special halter if you work the pressure and release the way this guy does.
