I was wondering how everyone grows hair on their show steers. Do you use fans and misters? Or do you just wash and rinse all the time?

All of the above plus use products that keep the hair healthy and clean!  Check out the thread above on the Hall of Fame link called Clean Sheen and Vinegar!  Wear out a blower and a few combs  as well and keep them in a dark, cool area!  Check out the feed additives that help as well!

brush them all the time keep them clean. i wash 3 times a week and blow them out every day. keep them clipped up too it helps. also get some high powered fans. we have some from sullivans and some how we got ahold of some fans from a chicken farm that just might blow the hair off of them lol. if you keep them inside in the cool all day then you can turn them out at night.

Rinse, brush, brush, brush, keep in front of fans. Keep the hair clean, brush some more and use Kleen Sheen on the hair. Also, genetics and feed play a role.
