Notice a key word here "almost"...I am not saying he isnt gonna sell em, but I seriously doubt he gets rid of the ones that are bringin home the bacon.

You guys do realize that a large portion of the cattle that are on Dave's sales are from other producers that he has gathered up and then works with and sells on his sales. I would venture a guess that not half of them are actually Guyer bred cattle. There's more than likely more money to be made that way and maybe less work. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with that, there are plenty of traders in the business.

Then later in the book, it lists the buyer's of quite a few of the recips-- as in the lots geared towards pick of the farm, where it listed what recip was carrying what calf.. and they winning bidder would get their option of calves from that property...

Did not read the letter in the catalog. Did it mention why some of the bulls or semen interests aren't in the sale as well?

Sometimes when any partnerships are involved, it's just not like you can drop out of the deal without mutual agreement about who will be the new partner/partners. Dave Guyer is a great promoter and if you bought into a bull of his or he into you, you just don't go out and find a Guyer type partner.afhm said:
