guyer sale on rfd tv

looks like some real nice cattle sold today....

Can someone post the results if you have a chance? I was on shift at the fire department and couldnt watch it.

its still on at the moment...

Yeah I thought some pretty nice cattle also. I thought everything brought what it was worth or maybe a little more. But that is everybody's opinion.

I think I saw it right - the lot 140 open heifer bringing $41,500? 

Now that's a nice heifer.

what about the shorty pair lot 62, 63? Wanted to know what they went for?

They sold for $2,900 (lot 62) and $3,500 (lot 63)

The only open shorthorn heifer (lot 170) sold for $3,500.


I really liked lot 63 - thought it was a pretty good buy.

She sold for $65,000 the first time through the ring.  They had to run her through again.  Anyone at the sale have any more information on what happened?

Why did they run her threw twice? I don't understand that. I saw about 20 lots on the internet of it! There where some super calves in there!! ;D

I saw about the first twenty lots when we were in for lunch.  I'm sure Superior charges enough but with all the controversy about the online sales, I thought this was the best quality I'v seen in any venue.  The videos were fantastic.  They actually showed the animals very well.  Good enough that you would feel like you know what you are bidding on even if you are not there in person.  Didn't get to see the opens sell.  Had to get back out and get calving pens bedded.

I agree on the video quality that Superior provided.  It was the next best thing to actually viewing
the cattle in the pasture.  If I were going to buy cattle online without seeing them prior to the sale
I would have more confident in the way Superior handled the sale.  Just my opinion.

My guess is that someone thought they were bidding 6,500.........  Surprise!

100% agree, that was a great sale to watch!

My guess is that someone thought they were bidding 6,500.........  Surprise!

In 2007, the Dallas Cowboys thought they had bought the domain name Cowboys.com at auction for $275.  Unfortunately for them they didn't know that they had actually bid $275,000 and ended up returning the domain name.  It sold a few months later for $332,750.

I can't see Jerry backing down from $275k, but I guess with a new stadium and all, he is tightening his belt. 

I watched most of it on RFD-TV. Those were some amazing cattle!

$275k for the Cowboy logo would have been better than some of the other investments he's tried. Pac-man,TO, & Roy Williams just to name a few. Just think of all the Championships he would have if he had Jimmy Johnson around.

I watched it on TV and it was as if you where right there looking at them. The internet was ok

I can't really buy the thought they were bidding 6 and it was really 60 thing.  I heard it go down on the tv, and if you paid attention from the beginning there was really no doubt that it was 60.  My old thoughts of bidding very slowly and knowing what you are bidding would have been very helpful in that situation.
