I used him for the first time last year, will use him on several cows again this year. Good bone, good hair, very pleased w/ the heifer calf.

As far as using him on heifers, ours was 95 pounds & like I said very good boned. I know several people have sucess w/ him on heifers but I personally won't do it. I just think the bone is too much for most heifers. I'm sure you'll find people that might disagree & others that agree w/ me.

I need to get some up-dated pictures of my heifer.

We had one Hard Core calf this fall out of a first calf heifer (see below).  He was a super calf, but unfortunately came down with a mild case of spastic paresis.  I know that problem exists on momma's side (from her sire - one of our FORMER herd bulls), so I don't think it was Hard Core's "fault".  Momma is very sound, but you wouldn't want a cow any straighter on the back legs than she is.  Her calf would have made a heck of a show steer.  He grew into a very thick and heavy boned calf, but he got delivered to the sale barn a month ago.

We don't bother weighing calves, but he was very small at birth and momma had him just fine (former show heifer).  We used him on a few more this year.

here is my Hard core heifer. She's a funny color but think she'll darken up as she gets older.

We are promoting a bull right now that is a Hardcore son.  He is really turning out to be the "real deal" as a easy calving bull.  His name is ZNT Triple X.  You may want to take a look at him is you are wanting to put a little more growth in your calves than Hardcore will do, or need to clean up the front ends.

Red, that heifer is really coming on! She looks to have a heck of a rib in her and yea she will shed that hair and get blacker. Congratulations. Can't wait to see you and her at ... hopefully Louisville.

In fact the little red calf is out of Triple X. He's going to make an awesome steer.

I was thinking of using him on a heatwave that would be coming with her third calf, with what she has had on her own already size shouldn't be an issue if you know what i mean, she needs a little cleaning up front, she is out of an ext angus cow, so she ended up with a wasty front, will he help with that?  has anyone used him in this mating?  Thanks for all the responces!!

We had really good luck with Hard Core the picture is of a heifer we are showing this year, she was 70 pounds out a Dr. Who heifer, we also had a steer calf that weighed in at 65, but he is just a county fair steer.  I don't think he helped or hurt the front end on this heifer, but we would use him again.

This Hard Core heifer was dropped on March 6th.  The cow is a Mossy Oak / angus -simi.

She weighed 60 lbs.  I think she has nice bone mass and she stands naturally wide.  I'm eager to see how she develops.  Sorry about all the mud - but thats about all we have right now in southern Ohio!

Had three calves out of him last year. Two bulls, and a heifer. One bull calf born unassisted out of an XFL cow. Heifer, out of a Heet Seeker cow, born unassisted, sold as a feeder, just didn't work on her. 120lb red, and white bull calf, out of a Cookie Monster cow, she has big calves no matter what she is bred to. He is being shown. Big, thick steer. Fast grower. He does ok at the shows, breaks behind his shoulders a bit. That's what hurts him. I think Hard Core sires some nice babies.
