Hard Whiskey

Does anyone know if Hard Whiskey ever collected? I got a powerhouse Monopoly we were wanting to flush to him because hes TH Free, but we didnt know if he had collected yet because I knew he was out of production for awhile? If he isnt does anybody have any suggestions on what to flush a Mono Heifer too? I will attach a pic of her? Shes a calf but we paid a lot for her and we plan to flush her this spring!

I am curious as well.  This bull interests me a lot. 

There was a thread back this spring about Hard Whiskey. They collected him and sold some semen that turned out to be no good and were suppused to replace it when he was colllected again.Now I have no idea what has happened since then but I called ABS and they said he was not avalable. I hope they can get some good semen on him because I would like to try him on some of my fall calvers. Maybe someone on here has new information on him.

As of 2 weeks ago, Hard Whiskey was still not collecting via Wade Rodgers. maybe this winter he'll come to his milk but time will tell

Hard Whiskey is still at home not being jumped until the weather cools down.  To answer a couple of posts we as owners replaced the semen that we sold directly.  We told the distributors they needed to stop selling what they had and they didn't listen.  However, I talked to a couple guys last week at Indiana state fair and they said they had several cows pass over to that semen but waiting to know when they palpate.

I was wondering the same thing a couple weeks ago..Thanks for the updates and keep us posted if he starts producing quality semen.

Did you get any calves out of her?

I got several cows from Griswolds sale and two were bred HardWhiskey I assume AI and both had real nice replacement quality females that sold quickly to go in a bred heifer sale next year.Hard Whiskey and the Cervasa calves were alike and also sold to same buyer.,Moderate big bodied and feminine.As far as if He is producing don't know.One of the best ways to sell semen is it not be available or limited then everybody wants it.

So you are going to flush a heifer to a bull you are yet to see calves out of? I'd maybe reconsider. Maybe have a natural calf first and then maybe flush to a bull who has proven himself a lil bit
