Has anyone seen any MAB x PB Charolais calves?

Given the popularity of crossing Monopoly on PB charolais cows, I just wondered if anyone has seen any calves out of MAB and PB char cows.  We are flushing this donor to WHO MADE WHO and then thinking of AI'ing her to MAB.  Appreciate your thoughts on this.

MAB works well on them types. I think that Otto's Show Cattle have a bull called Runaway Train that looks really good. I think he may be out in Denver.

I wouldn't consider i67 maternal. And I think i80 genetics are too tight gutted for chars.

I would put I-67 ahead of MAB when talking maternal... I-80 genetics will almost always give you better females than makes. I would say I-67 is deeper gutted than I-80, and I think Lautner sold a calf or two that was an I-67 out of a char. No doubt the MAB steers will be better... overall I think I-67 will throw a better set of calves out of her. Monopoly would be a good option too.

Was just speaking in general on MAB not his maternal merit. Go look at i67 in stud...:

How is the cow bred ...

She is by Cigar (who sired the dam of FIREWATER) and out of a prolific donor sired by Mac 2244 (grandsire of the infamous "0641" cow, who has generated over $1,100,000 in progeny sales).  The success of these genetics in the show ring is unprecedented.  Together they have produced five National Champions, including Turton, who produced $41,000 and $38,000 heifers in his first calf crop, followed by a $75,000 heifer calf in 2013.  The 2014 AICA National Grand Champion Female was sired by Turton.

Didn't see anything overly impressive. Any monopoly genetics on your char would work very well.

I don't think I can lose with the MAB.

Embryologist agreed it was the better way to go and we have time to make the switch.  She's a big egg maker so she'll probably make more of them than I'll ever need; hope there will be some interest for these.  Thx.

May I ask why you wouldn't use Monopoly with his consistent track record on Char cows?

HW and Monopoly have been winning for a while now on Char females.  As good as the calves are coming out of MAB, I don't see why he would be any different.  I guess I'm hoping the maternal shot of WMW in him will make his daughters better cows since I don't want this to be a terminal cross on my end.  My goal is an F1 female to produce my kid's show calves when old enough to show down the road.  That's why I wanted to use WMW initially.

Crystal, if you are really wanting to go maternal than I think you should. I just suggested MAB for the sale of having the best chance at marketable calves

Reading back, you stated you wanted to keep the the heifers to be steer momma's for your kids project. You'd be better off just taking that cow and breeding her to MAB or the likes and use that generation as show calves.

Monopoly would be a better option for a cow sire I would think being half Angus.

Are you really asking $7,500 for that cow carrying an egg?
