Heifer bagging up...
« on: June 10, 2018, 07:43:55 PM »
I have a 2 year old Heifer I recently purchased. She had been exposed to a bull for 3 week just before I bought her, and Ive had her for about 2 weeks. The guy before me had her for about a year and says she hasnt ever been with another bull. I find it weird for her to be bagging up when she could be 5 weeks pregnant max. Has anyone else had a heifer bag this early? I dont even know for sure if she was bred or had a heat cycle while the bull was with her. This is the best picture I could take.

She's looks heavy bred to me . Bagging up and springing up in her vagina. I'd be preparing for a calf in the next couple weeks

I would at least palpate her.  If she is bagging up, you should be able to either feel the calf and/or not be able to move the cervix if you can find it due to the weight of the calf.
