Well like you said, that right hind leg looks like an issue.  I dont know if its just the picture or what, but the profile pic makes her look really unthrifty, has she been wormed recently?  Its hard to tell, but from where the shadows fall on her sides it looks like she is really sunken in and looks like you can see some of her ribs, may just be the the picture or something...hard to tell.  I am not trying to be mean with anything I am saying you are asking for opinions so I am going to give mine.  She looks fairly growthy so she may have a future in a commercial herd, looking at these pics I dont think she has a ton of potential for a purebred herd, but some of them will fool ya, she may produce great ones.  But on to my opinion, I am really tough on heifers/cows structurally, so having a structure problem and not really wowing me anywhere else, I would probably send her to the salebarn.  But that is my opinion and what I would do if she was in my herd.

Please give us a little more background for your heifer. Has she been running with a herd of older cows that she has had to fight with for feed? Are you located in a very dry area, or has she been running in knee deep grass? PPl are used to seeing pictures of clipped up donors and past show heifers and forget that there are a whole bunch of just good ol plain cows. Depending on how your heifer has been having to compete for feed, I think that she is sure good enough to give a chance to become a good cow, but she does look like she could stand some extra feed if feasible.I do see a nice balanced heifer though.

She is toeing out in the picture, could be a hoof trimming issue or a structure issue or it could be the way she is standing. I dont really say an issue with her except the fact that she is about to be 24 months old and should be calving pretty soon in my book but hey shes bred. She is getting up there in age and so she is not going to be as fresh as other heifers younger than her. Perhaps if you clipped her out and really show her off we might get a better understanding of just exactly what is going on with the front end and behind her shoulders. I do understand she has been in the field and like you said fighting for food and of course is losing that battle, from your tone she probably had a lot more weight on her this summer. As far as having her in a commercial herd she is not ideal, you would really want a more moderate easy fleshing animal than her, but overall she going to do good things for your. Its just going to take some input to get her to do that.

Also, you see all the pictures on this website does your picture look remotely like any of them? No, i would not post a picture unless it is in the correct profile stance, the way she is standing is not doing her any justice. Just like you dont want a bad showman showing an animal incorrectly a bad picture can send you to the bottom just as quick as any structure issues.

This young lady posted pics of this heifer about this time last year, and I believe in the spring.  I believe she showed the heifer this summer at her county show in WI.  I based my post and my opinion on her after seeing all of those pics.  Like I said I am not trying to be mean, she also just posted a steer that I think has some potential, but honestly I think this is about the best this heifer has looked, that is where my opinion came from.

Was she the girl with the blue roan steer? If so, how did you do at your show? Any pictures of him finished out?

yes she was at pasture with the other cows but is now down with the other show animals because i plan on taking her as a cow calf pair to our county fair next summer.  She hasnt had a bath or been clipped for awhile sorry bout that.  and yes im the one with the blue roan steer.  i can see what i can pull up of finished pictures, he didnt finish out very well because we had an excessivly hot summer and no one around here really got much weight on them after early june.  WE originally vred her so she would calve earlier but she didnt take the first time so we had to wait til she came back in heat.  my steer placed third of five and this heifer took reserve shorthorn female.
