We are going to be trying a bunch of different bulls this summer.

Purple Womanizer (full brother to Kahuna, Denver and Ft. Worth Grand Champion)
            Shock-N-Awe
            AA Airline
            KJ Authentic
            Bailout
            Easy Deal
            Milsap
            KJ Manhattan
            719T- Heifers
            About Time- Heifers

Then we will clean up with probably a crackerjack son that came out of the K&B sale.

So far we don't have many calves on the ground. We have a Easy Deal bull calf that doesn't look too bad and a couple that are due any day to Milsap, About Time and Purple Womanizer.

We have a couple of Easy Deal on the way in about a month out on one and two months on the other. We are thinking about breeding back  with something from Topp Herefords breeding.

We have had:
3- T-Bones
3- AA Airline's
5- Boomer 29F Son
5- Reload's

Gonna use About Time, Bismarck 243R(Bailout's Sire), TH 71U 719T Mr. Hereford 11X ($135,000 bull from this year Topps sale), and T-Bone.  Will be cleaning up with AA Airline and a WLB Eli son we raised.

The Airline calves come small (55-73 lbs so far) conservatively marked with good bone.

What is a good hereford bull to use on heifers?  Any of the Purple Reign bulls?

The only thing from Purple Reign that i would breed to a heifer would be Purple Tonic 10M.  Your best bet for show calves from low birth weight perspective would be CRR About Time 743.  He is dead and his semen will be limited in 2011 so get it quick.

I've used About Time & Tonic on heifers, both work real good.  Anyone used Milsap, Cyrus, Crossfire or Hard Rock?  Anyone planning on using Purple Kingsley?

Here's a few home raised hereford bulls, we'll be using up here  in Canada. The 129s bull is the sire of 52U, lots of thickness easy fleshing and great females. The yearling bull was reserve calf at agribition he is a 8020 grandson.

Purple Currency is heifer safe too. But Tonic would be a better choice for heifers.

We have Milsap and Purple Womanizer calves on the way and will be using a lot of Womanizer this summer with Kahuna doing the winning he is doing and will hopefully keep doing.

Do you think About Time semen will jump at all in price?

I bred 3 first calf heifers to Milsaps, had to pull 1 but only because heifer was way to fat. They look good, adequate bone, but not to much, good square hips, decent depth of body. They are going on 7 weeks old now.
