solid bull on the first page.  Breed those stocking off the fullboods and they'll be right back in the game!
its hard to breed all of the white off the leggs and belly of a fullblood. when you find one you need to really study the pedigree. in my experience of breeding fullbloods to british cattle since the early days beginning in 1968, the color pattern of the dam was dominant in the calves. that is why most all the cattle are solid black today. if we had kept all of the black cattle originally instead of breeding for the spots, there would have been more solid black maines a lot sooner and a lot more diverse bloodlines. we didn't know what we had and could have avoided some of the calving ease issues from the start.

I saw that AD in the SC.... Is that guy on drugs??? $25000 for that thing?  I guess you can ask whatever you want..

Yea, it's kind of like when Les on Pawn Stars asks someone what they want for something? They usually reply " I've seen them on Ebay for $5000". He then replys , yea but what are they bringing on Ebay?
gary graham is a good cattleman and raises good cattle that he is very passionate about and hopefully the unwarranted drug comment is just a metaphor? sometimes he likes to shake things up because he does not like small clubby underperforming maine cattle, black or roan, because the breed characteristics have been bred out of them. you may not like the red & white bull which he may think will work on small clubby roan cows or price he advertised but you won't forget the ad or manitou maines and the good cattle they have. the yukon bull above came from the same place as well as kuda (look at his picture above).

Gary may be a good cattleman and raise good cattle, but if he gets $25k for that bull , he is a better salesperson. I would give $25k for your bull way before I would give a 1/3 of that for his bull. I just don't see that much value in the bull pictured in SC.

I know this is a phone pic, from quite the distance, but the red socked heifer is sired by a maine bull, and from a shorthorn cow.  I can't remember if her sire was a fullblood, or the sire was sired by a fullblood.  I'm thinking the sire was something like 98% Maine, meaning his sire was a fullblood.  I don't own that bull, was never around him, and he's gone now.  I'll have to find a better picture of her.

The other heifer, is a half sister- same bull... IMO, she's just a heifer.

Doc-sun. Really like how your bull looks on the profile. Appears very smooth made and well put together in his parts with good outcross potential. Look forward to seeing him at FW.

I know the shorthorns and maine show on Feb 3, but what date is best to go to see the bulls from these breeds?

I looked his pedigree up, and he is sired by a Fullblood bull, and also is the MGS, making him 3/4 Fullblood.  425437

the Yak 15W bull was purchased single traitedly...  He was the biggest assed heaviest muscled, purebred red bull on the farm.  That's pretty much all that mattered in his selection.

AFTER TRACING THE YAK 15W BULL BACK THROUGH THE GENERATIONS,I FOUND A SINGLE HERF COW AND A SINGLE SHORTHORN COW BACK IN THE 7 OR 8 GENERATION...  OTHER THAN THAT, ONLY FULLBLOODS...

add homo polled in that too.
add a framescore smaller and more volume to most of them, but a lot of fullbloods get more volume as they mature but then it is to a bigger package than it would be if they were earlier maturing.
