I currently have a home made cattle feed recipe that I use for our show calves! I can't say I am entirely happy with it. Here are the ingredients that I am currently using! Any thoughts on what I can add or take out?? Anyone have a good formula they would share??

Ingredients

Cottonseed Hulls
Milo, steam-rolled
Corn Grain, cracked
Oats, steam-rolled
Cottonseed Meal
Molasses Blend 5-58
Calcium Carbonate (Bulk)
Fat Pack 99
Magnaferm Yeast Culture
Salt Premix

I am not going to comment on your recipe. Best advise i can give you  Is don't waste your time we used to mix our own and buy cheap bagged feeds. Spend the money for some good bagged feed like showrite. Umbarger. Sunglo and you will be happy you did

I fed Umarger last year mixed with SureChamp! This year I worked with the guys at feed mill and worked on a recipe and it seemed to work good! Rate of gains were almost identical to last year! Just looking to make it a little better!!

We use our own version of the aaok reciepe on here. I tried feeding bagged feeds but found it more expensive and I have never had good results. We had a pretty good feed rep that we worked with closely to tweak ours a bit.
