This cow has these horns growing but they are not attached to skull they grow from skin and are loose looks funny when she shakes her head they flop around. What would she be called horned, scures or what.she is a Simmental shorthorn cross most of her calves have been polled.
No they are loose you can pick them up, just attatched to skin at head don't know why or how they turn to horn as just hanging by skin she is getting old 11yrs or so still raises a good calf. Like her a unique cow any one else have similar?
I their loose there scurs , probablycould be removed with cutting bands , probably should remove be cause they could cause sore or discomfort to cow ....
No bos indicus in the herd at all the scurs don't hurt her at all no rub marks or any thing I asked the vet one time when preg testing and she said why bother probably do more harm than good just a cosmetic thing but she would bleed as if cutting full horns I was just wondering if there was a term for this abnormality or if any one had some like her.
