Horses Need Homes

52 thoroughbred horses need homes --will go to Sugarcreek this Saturday for slaughter. Gentleman died and his son wants nothing to do with them. Most broodmares are broke and some are in foal weanling, yearlings, 2 yrs and 3 yrs old most are gelded. FREE and papered. All horses have homes.!!! (clapping)...Don't call the phone number.  You will get a very tired women who doesn't want another phone call.  There must have been a great turnout for free Thoroughbred horses.

That was all over face book; I got the same message. Not sure where sugarcreek is, but did anyone think about the fact that there are no slaughter houses for horses in US? Maybe it was near the border?

Sugarcreek is in Ohio by Dover/New Philadelphia

we have a family friend who quit farming, is rather well off and he collected about 250-300 horses.  don't know what's going to happen to them.  he probably has more now.  ugh.  too bad about the slaughter.  seems the left always knows what's best be it horses or egypt.
