OK, so I am in web design, and I have built about 3 or 4 web pages. I've gotten an incredible amount of teacher help, and have figured out how to add hyperlinks, pictures, thumbnails, etc. I use Kompozer to build the sites, but could someone PLEASE PM me and talk em through how the heck you get the site up onto the internet? I am, as evidenced, a little fed up trying to publish a webpage so that people can look at them. Thanks for ANY help or suggestions.

You'll need to find a web host to put the files are. There are a few free ones available on the internet that you can use, or if you want to get your own domain name (www.yourname.com), you'll need to pay the $10 to register the name and the cost of hosting it. I host all my sites at www.qualityhostonline.com. They only cost about $12/year and provide exceptional service.

Thanks SO much, klintdog. I'm trying to build a 4-H website so our club can keep up on sales, information, clinics, etc, etc. Which brings me to yet another question: how do you build logo's to put on webpages? I attached a pic of our club logo so that you can see what it basically is.

We us godaddy.com for our host site.  I think we pay about $4/month.  My wife does all of our website stuff, but I think godaddy is pretty user friendly.

OK, sweet. I'll of course have to table this before the club at the next meeting after researching which sites are the best deal and not necessarily the cheapest. Once again, thanks to all of you.
(P.S., any logo builders out there???...........)

Your logo didn't attach. I use some Adobe products for all my graphic design work, but they are pretty pricey to just jump in to. If you post your image I'll see if I can't do something with it for ya.

BTW, thanks a million for offering to fix 'er up. If you can come up with something, I'd be just tickled pink!  (clapping)

I'm trying to find a vector or clip image of the steer, pig, and lamb, but I'm not having much luck. I figured it would be quicker to just recreate it since the image you have is on a bit of an angle. Does anyone have some stock images I could borrow?

Luckily I needed an excuse to not do taxes this evening, so I put this together. Hopefully it'll work for you.

WOW!! Thank you SO much klintdog! That was very, very helpful to me. Everything turned out perfectly when I put it on the web page and it looks AWESOME. If I owe you anything, please, let me know. Unfortunately, I can't share the page because I built it on my computer and that's the only one where it's visible.  :p But I will bring this website before the club at the next meeting and we'll vote to see if we want to pay for a domain name and for the upkeep of the site. If it passes, I should have it up by the 8th of March and I'l post the link for viewing. Which reminds me, is there any way to check  what domain names are taken? Or do I do that automatically when I go to register a domain name?
Thanks again,
Cade

We'll consider the first one a freebie. Just load me up with plenty of positive karma :)

:D, well, in that case, I can handle it no problem. Jason, thanks again. Everyone here has been so helpful with this. Y'all have also been helpful in keeping my showing habit alive and well!  ;)
