I have a young bull calf that was covered with warts on his face.  I froze most of them and then burned some of them.

Now I need to get him healed up before his next show in July...I am open to ideas.

I also chopped them up and fed them to the calf.

burning and cutting them off seems like a natural remedy...but incorrect.  believe it or not, get him in the headcatch, and take a pair of pliers and smash them. just take them and grab them and tear them off.  if he's got some the size of grapes, you might have to take them off in two or three pieces.  get as many as you can off, oddly enough, this will kill the rest that are on his body.

this may sound absurd, but ...do you know what wart vaccine was?  ground up warts is a carrying agent.  the vaccine was taken off the market due to compliance with BSE laws.

sounds weird doesn't it? <alien>

If there are just a few I usually just pop them off.... There were so many... I will keep this in mind next time.

Now what to put on them to heal faster.

It is my understanding that warts are caused by a virus and, yes, there is a vaccine for warts.  The best way to remove them is as xxcc says with a pair of pliers.

This is a new thought to me, but if in fact that is correct, it would totally make sense.  A shot with wart vaccine would be the same as a human getting a flu shot.

Effectiveness of vaccine varies.  We have warts on cattle that come from one pasture.  I inadvertently got them in my showbarn last year.  This year's calves came down with them.  The vaccine my vet gave me worked surprisingly fast- all are gone a month later.
