How well do Peace Pellets from Sullivans supply work?

I have a crossbred steer that goes nuts around other people.  I can lead him at home(green broke).  I can stick him and groom him about anywhere.  He will knock me down and stomp me if I am careless and get near his head.  He's always got his head up looking for something to spook himself.

Cannot work with him very much each day due to work/time committments.  Will start daily work June 1 for mid-July fair. By that time he'll be 1200-1400 pounds.

I'll put in my time and work, but wondered if the Peace Pellets(or similar product) will help take off that spooky edge.  I don't want anyone hurt.

Thanks-

I had a calf that was very similar to this. You could not walk in his pen on stand near it without him running at you. I started him on the pellets about 30 days ago and have seen a drastic change. This calf gets rinsed, tied and blown out everyday so i am not sure if it is the constant attention or the pellets but something worked.

I am not sure how much the pellets will work if you do not put in the ground time with him, even if it is 15 to 20 minutes a day. Routine seems to be the best thing to work the edge off.The pellets or even Glu-Coat help take the edge off, but that is usually in conjunction with working with the animal.

Good luck

He's getting attention daily and work with him on weekends.    I'm hand feeding 2x/day and he seems OK.    He will lick your hand and even try to drag your hand into his mouth to bite you.

Daily work will start late May/early June.

I've worked cattle for almost 45 years and have never seen anything quite like this one.

He's my son's 4-H steer and will be shown just once.

Thanks-

I've seen them used on a few calves(before and after) and they work. I'll be using them the next time I get one that's a little crazy
