i-80 females

as much as the market has been flooded with i-80 females, I was wondering why you never see very many calves out of i-80 females.

If you are talking steers, it is because they are light boned and look like heifers.

DaveK, I think sizzler is talking about calves out of I-80 dams not steers sired by I-80. Vickland's have a Set Me Free x I-80 steer from Goettemoeller. I have also seen a few Monopoly x I-80 calves for sale since last fall. I think part of the reason is because alot of traders or breeders just list their steers as Heat Wave x Maine, Monopoly x Maine, BIM x Maine, etc. etc.

I stand by my statement.  Cows from I-80 are even worse.  That is my opinion, no one has to agree with me.

I'm excited to see what our I-80 heifer produces - She is very thick and stout made so am expecting some killer bull/steer calves out of her......assuming she will get bred!  I will keep you updated.
