So are we just going to ignore the fact he is short hipped and sickle hocked and I'm guessing his bone and foot doesn't match his body. Not to mention he bows out. Sure he is high performing but that doesn't make him great. Sure he will work for someone but I like the lot 1 in the same sale much more. That calf can add a lot more to a wider variety of operations.

If your calling him sickle hocked you must have some very straight legged cattle!

If your calling him sickle hocked you must have some very straight legged cattle!

I don't see sickle hocked but do see smaller hoof. Great mass depth and overrall thickness. Does move off rear awkard. Little shorter necked but thick thick overral. Agree with MT if you had the right cows he could balance them out on the other side.

Not straight legged they just like to flex their hocks and not drag there legs. I understand he has more mass then 1 but if you are looking for a bunch of mass and performance I'm sure he'd work but I prefer the length of hip and cockiness of 1. I feel I could use him on a wider variety of cows.

The problem looks to be in his pasterns when he walks. Little hard to say when they never show the bottom 6 inches of his legs. Also, I think I have newborn calves with more testicles than him.

Not straight legged they just like to flex their hocks and not drag there legs. I understand he has more mass then 1 but if you are looking for a bunch of mass and performance I'm sure he'd work but I prefer the length of hip and cockiness of 1. I feel I could use him on a wider variety of cows.

It helps a lot when people point out specific issues like him dragging his feet.
It would be great if there was a series of video clips that showed "good bull/bad bull" walking observations.

Don't get me wrong, he would make nice steers, I just think he woulda made a nicer steer than a bull.
