Have couple heifers that we are taking as Breeding Heifers to couple shows in August and Sept. They are both clubby and moderate framed, what would you say is an ideal weight? I was thinking 100-1100?

2/3 of mature weight is the rule of thumb I use.

Mature cow size 1200 # = 800 pound breeding weight.  Go up or down from there based upon cow size.

My apologizes, I stated my question in a confusing way.  I am not concerned about what weight I will breed em, cause like BS said I will breed them at 15 months regardless of weight. What I meant to ask is what the ideal weight to show them at is? Like what what is not too fat for a breeding heifer but not too skinny either.

I think you are getting market- and breeding animal shows confused.  Breeding shows, do not really put much influence on weight- unless you are using as a EDP/ Performance comparision- L'ville shorthorn show comes to mind.

I Think that when showing breeding animals-- you should show/ feed based off of body condition and growth curve.
