I think Kansas decides on Monday whether to go or not. Could state organizations put on a little show for the heck of it?

I suggested a state show to several folks the day the Iowa State Fair was cancelled, but I haven't heard anything yet.  Our County Fair is holding a 1 day show and go event with only immediate family members allowed to attend.  Talking to old and new friends is most common for most of us old timers, so that would most likely be impossible with limited attendance and mingling.

We have been reading where other individuals have formed a group and have put on a show at different farms.  With the mainstream shows cancelled many of the facilities are not available to rent for shows.

In the dairy industry, some of the breeds have banded together to form a show for this year.  Depending on the support and attendance, some of these newly created shows may continue.

so far the dairy shows that are being scheduled will be at show facilities.  There have been a few smaller local type shows, mainly for junior exhibitors.  Entries for them are around 50 head.

With World dairy Expo canceled, there are some that are looking to create a show in Iowa if there is enough interest.

It may be ironic that some shows may end up doomed!

I read that the Nebraska State Fair is holding open shows, entry fee is $100 with no premium.  I think Missouri is not paying any premium money, either, though the entry fee is lower.  Do you know if Kansas is offering premium money?  Not that there's any money in showing cattle anyway.

I'm not sure if it's figured out. My wife wants to go. I hate shows.......I do enjoy just watching people I guess.......kind of an anthropology study.
