Introduction and Caption Contest

Greetings! My name is Michael Peiffer and I'd like to thank Jason for having me serve as a guest blog writer/columnist on steerplanet.com. To give a little background about myself I am in my 11th year of teaching high school agriculture and serving as FFA advisor and as an assistant football coach. I grew up on a farm in southeast Iowa where we had a farrow to finish swine operation in addition to corn ans soybeans. We had a cow herd until I was about 10 years old. I recently started purchasing some heifers and am starting to try and build my own herd and God willing i'll make some good decisions and have some club calves to show and sell someday. I hope that people enjoy reading my posts and I have a goal of trying to get a post up towards the end of each week.
