Was wondering if the gestation length on either one of these bulls ran long.  Had a real big boned, great haired heifer lastnight ( March 6).  She was due through the gestation tables to be born February 14th to Free Whiskey.  After we used cedars and lut, we kept them all in for 3 days away from the bulls.  I was wondering what are the chances she took her A.I. to Free Whiskey.

Thanks

I don't know much about their gestation but my guess is she didn't stick and your bulls got her

She calved pretty much the exact day you'd expect her to calve if the clean up bull bred her on her first cycle.

Thanks, had another bull calf lastnight that was ai'd the same day.  So I can expect it was the cleanup bull on both?  How long is too long for most A.I.'ing? 18days??

I guess the best way to answer that would be to ask if it's more likely the calf is an 18 day late AI calf or a 3 day early clean up calf.  In my cows, if it's 7-14 days late I wonder which it was.  More than that and it's going to get credited to the clean up bull.

Thanks for the info.  I'll probably have to say the clean-up bull got them then.  Only sure fire way would be if you ran them completely different colors.
