I have a friend wanting to use S A V Final Answer 0035 on heifers. Does anyone have experience using him on heifers? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

He works excellent on heifers.  His EPDs are highly proven, and I can tell you first hand that he works on all types of heifers. He's about as safe a calving ease option as there is, yet his calves grow well and his daughters work nicely too.

While I cannot add personal experience, the stats certainly indicate he is a very reliable calving ease sire. He has lead the Genex/CRi cooperative in semen sales for 4 straight years. The resulting thousands of calves have generated him a BW epd of -1.0 (top 5% of the breed) and a .96 accuracy. He also offers Calving Ease Direct and Calving Ease Maternal traits with similar top percentiles and accuracies.

Proven and time tested.  I am using some this year.

NO MORE MAINES for ME on HEIFERS!!!  Next time i think about it, somebody kick me in the groin.  The pain is similar but doesn't last as long.

Final Answer has sold over 80,000 units plus of semen each year for the last 3 years. Quite a bit of that went into commercial heifer projects. They make good daughters also! I hope this helps.

I used him on my shorty heifers last year and was VERY pleased.  I have seen some daughters and sons out of him that really turned it on.  The only thing I would caution is he can be slightly fine boned.  So watch it on some fine boned females.

He is definitely as safe a bull as you can find for heifers.  I have used him for several years with zero problems.  I steered a pretty good Final Answer calf last year which I wish I would have kept for a cleanup bull.  I am keeping a few heifers out of him as replacements.  I used his son Pendleton last spring with the same results, although I like the Final Answer calves better.
