Notice the masculinity in the bull calves, even before they are weaned. The heifers look femnine enough, too, without being frail.

At least there's one country in the world that hasn't traded environmental adaptability and fertility for "sires great lower leg hair", "freaky fronted", or some other  useless trait.

Going back to that calf, He has COARSE< CURLY< DENSE hair on his face ( like a bull of any breed should), none on his butt( it ain't needed to show thickness). Y'uns on here want the opposite.

JMHO,

How about Normandy?  They don't have enough speckles for the Normandy cattle I remember and they are colored the same as the Meuse-Rhine-Issel ( MRI) that came to Canada anyways( and these cattle look much better!!!!). A neighbour brought a Normandy bull into Canada and he was an exceptionally good bull. If he had been a different color, he would have been a great one!  He kept all the daughters of this bull and he had a powerful set of females. Unfortunately he got cancer and had to sell his herd.

sorry,

GB got it right, i just posted a link to them

Meuse Rhine Issel is the correct answer.

i thought they were kinda neat looking, though they don't seem to have any rib behind their shoulder.  what do you think about that cowboy?
