It has got to stop (NC)

In the last 2 years there have been 2 teenage girls abducted in our county. The girl that was abducted a year ago has not been found nor have they charged anybody with her abduction. Just this last week a 17 year old girl, a strait A student on the cross country team went out for a run after school, she never came home. They found her car at the park she went to run at but no sign of her. After 4 days of searching in the area she was last seen the have not found any sign of her. There has been mountain lions sighted in the area so that was one of their concerns, had that been the case they would have found her the first day since they where using dogs in the search. Last night the news report that a Registered Sex Offender has been charged with her abduction and may be involved in other open cases.

Now if these ___- were not allowed out into the public these young kids with their futures ahead of them would still be enjoying life, instead they are more than likely dead.

Sorry I'm just a little pissed off this morning.

I saw that on the TV. I can guarantee I could get that scum to talk. Give me 10 minutes. These people are not human, lets stop treating them as such.
It is about time we take these pediphiles off the street and put them in the ground. Or, put them in prison, and let the prisoners have some fun. Yep. That sounds like a plan.
It has been proven that they can not be rehabilitated, so let them be used as toys and objects in prison.

I can not fathom anything as reprehensible as these acts you speak of. sexual predation has no equal in my mind.I condone the jailhouse justice that is supposedly doled out to offenders. That being said, falsely accusing someone of said actions rates up there as well.

I am in complete agreement with the sentiments expressed, however I take issue with the "offender registry" and how it is applied. I question if it even has any relevance. Do you realize there are people who are registered sex offenders because they took a leak behind a building? I am not exactly condoning it, but there is a huge difference between a 21 year old being involved with a 17 year old than the sick subhuman predators that abuse young children or stalk and prey on women.

Just on HLN: The pedi that is under arrest has been convicted of sexual conduct with a 14 years old.
There is a huge difference between a repeat offender such as this guy, (and many others), and someone who pee'd behind a building. Common sense is long gone in this country.

casturation is a solvent- or a little bit worse-- its a sad ordeal.. and I know one young lady who has lived through it, and its her fears of today--  prob close to 8 yrs later---  sh'ell never forgit it... and will wake up forever screaming in sleep

sad stuff it is.. and we as people can have a fix for it...  and I guarentee it'd be their only conviction.

peta should worry more about important stuff as this- than what they do...  In my book the inhumane treatment of humans is far worse than that of animals.. I mean serioiusly, we are human...

PETA wants all humans dead.  you can easily see their hypocrisy when they won't volunteer to go first.

Yuppie, I will have to agree with you on the wide definition of offender, pulling over on the side of the road at night and taking a leak behind your trailer, or a married couple folling around in their car, or the 18 year old making out with his 17 year old girlfriend should not be grouped with violent offenders. They should not be listed as offenders at all. But a violent predator who was convicted of molesting a 14 year old girl attempted rape, bunching her in the face several times when she fought back is not what I would call a non violent offender.

John Albert Gardner III, now 30, pleaded guilty in May 2000 to two counts of forcible lewd act on a child and false imprisonment after the girl accused him of repeatedly punching her in the face and touching her private parts. He was sentenced to six years in prison, but it’s unclear when he was released.

Court records show that the psychiatrist who interviewed Gardner said the man's callous attitude and lack of remorse made him "an extremely poor candidate for any sexual offender treatment."

"It is my opinion that (the defendant) would be a continued danger to underage (girls) in the community," said Dr. Matthew Carroll.

There was a teacher down here that went missing a few years ago that has never been found. They launched a Nation-Wide Campaign to try to find her to no avail. It is a sad thing. Her mother passed away last year I think - I can only hope she got her answers when she entered the Pearly Gates.
