For anyone who may know- have a donor scheduled to start the aspiration process tonight with the cystorellen shot and the series of FSH this week to ivf Thursday

My question she starts tonight on shots- and is in a natural standing Heat I obviously wasn't on track of

Is the ivf still good to go and get started, should it be post poned or perhaps could the natural heat spike and improve oocyte production? Thanks in advance

The best thing to do is call the person or business that are doing the aspiration. When we set our donors up the vet always said it didn't matter when they were in heat because the fsh shots will develop more follicles to collect. There are always more follicles that are developing but with the normal amount of fsh being released, the largest one continues to grow and starts producing estrogen which prevents the other follicles from continuing to develop until estrus comes. Giving an external source of fsh will allow more follicles to develop. Hope this helps!
