I'd say his owner knows a thing or two about cattle.  I have stood in Scott Muri's pasture next to Bonanza and in the pasture next to Sultan, not really a noticeable difference in  capacity between the two.

From that pasture photo he looks like he would be in the same league as Bonanza. I saw Bonanza when it was 30 below walking through some deep snow, he even looked good then! This a photo of "Easy" that Jaimie took at Ralph Larson's Y Lazy Y last spring. He is as deep bodied and capacious as any bull I have seen and rivals Bonanza. Interesting to see Leader 21st in both Easy and Sultan,s background.
The photo I attached of the 21st isn't great quality but probably shows his depth better than some of the more common ones.

Thanks for posting that Knabe you are a sleuth! I saw Sultan of Jazz as a yearling at Ohlde's,in fact I helped run him into a pen to breed his first heifer.I was quite impressed with him at that time.

This guy rivals them all for capacity IMO.  At just three years old he has a lot of body.  He is a Byland Mission from a Goldspear dam.  His first calf daughters will be bred to Leader 6th.

His Canadian reg# is 475461.  He weighs a good 2200 lbs.  Maybe more.  I will get him weighed this fall when they come off pasture.  Frame score 5.5 - 6 and possibly the best set of feet and legs that I have seen on a Shorthorn bull.
