Anyone out there using one of these as a chore vehicle.  We have looked into getting one and was wondering if anyone had any experience.  It looks to me like you could get very good fuel economy, stay out of the weather, and feed round bales or whatever on a farm or ranch.  I sounds like you can put a SMV sign on it and hit the road.  We have a dealer who is local and he thought they would be completely road legal in the states pretty soon.  He said 40+ mpg and a top speed near 60 mph.  Sounds like its time to park the full size truck to me.  Anyone have one?  How do you like it? (thumbsup)

I've got several friends that have them & really like them. I don't know about feeding round bales out of them , tho. As far as the DOT approved goes , I sure wouldn't buy one betting that is going to happen. I think they are probably as safe as a SMART car, but don't know that anyone is going to spend the money to get them approved. I think even without the DOT approval that they have a place.

Our neighbors just got one. I think they would be a good rig for running around in and they are road approved here but they had trouble getting insurance for it because of being right side driven the ins. companies said it was more dangerous. I can't see putting a rd bale in one and they couldn't make it up the hills with a good run at them faster than 30 mph.

Been looking for one for several years, since visiting my friends the Wilsons at SharBen Shorthorns, over in eastern KY.  Dr. Ben says he'd never be without one again.
finally found one close enough to buy a month or two back - '97 Mitsubishi - parts and repairs should not be a problem.
Really like it - will go just about anywhere the ATV would, you can haul a whole lot more stuff than with the ATV - and you've got a cab to protect you when it's cold or rainy.
Not street legal in KY - and ours has ATV-type tires on it, so I wouldn't want to be riding on the pavement at any sort of speed, and I'm sure not gonna hit 60 going across a 5-acre paddock.
