Last year we AI'd a cow. A couple of months later she was back in a strong heat. Since we were looking at reducing some of our numbers here & it would put her real late, we turned her over to the farm's bull. Well, yesterday she had her calf & it was spot on for the AI date. Gave us quite a chuckle. I guess you can't always believe what the cows tells you!

Also Wild Rose had a really nice Money Man bull. Not sure of weight but I've never seen calves w/ such vigor! We had a Hard Core out of our Iceman x Foreplay cow. She required just a light pull. Will get back w/ weights.

You know several years ago we had a recip that got a hoof injury, we had put an embryo in, but didn't think it took she had been coming in heat every 21 days just like clock work so we ended up butchering her, she was pregnant with a 5 month full sib embryo to the National Jr. Show Steer Champion and Belt Buckle winner, we never again assumed they aren't bred without sleeving them!  Another one of those valuable lessons.

Jill- I bet Earl about kicked himself!

Pictures may be hard since she's at the farm. Will have to see if they penned her or she's out on pasture.
