I bought a BC Marathon son from a sale they consigned to 5 or six years ago. Bull worked really good for us. I chatted a few times on the phone with one of them. Nice folks. The bull was a Marathon x Shurtop Supreme calf that was just a moderate tank. He wouldnt stay here at the farm after breeding cows. He was a wonderer. Found him down the road breeding some char cows more then once. Even found him getting shooed with a broom by a old lady once. He was eating her flowers :)

anybody see this bull?  Thoughts on him, his pedigee, or the breeding program?

This bull is a full brother to two well known Simmental bulls; Optimus Prime and Montecito. Both of these bulls have semen selling at the Sim Magic on Ice sell in Denver. So his pedigree is for real, with a sister doing a lot of winning herself. I am eager to see calves out of these bulls.
Now with that said, this bull has not been registered, nor the other bull on that page. Here is a link to the progeny by the dam of the bull listed, and neither bulls by JCS are registered.

Not sure why, or if it matters (it would to me!)

I noticed that the bull wasn't registered, knowing where he is, I doubt he will be.  I don't think my neighbor has any registered cows left, out of 500.

btw, I've been seeing this bull in the pasture next to my house, kinda a neat looking deal from a couple hundred yards off, ran across the sale results and seen that picture.. same bull...  I guess I'd better get over the fence and check him out for real one of these days.

Is this the same neighbor that had Rendition?

No Rendition was produced by Glen Woodrow (Woody, as he is called).  Woody lives quite near where I grew up, and my parents still live.

This neighbor is Neal Skiles, and lives next to my new house (NWern IL).  Actually, the place we are renting is owned by Neil's 1st cousin-- and I sneak over the Neil's all the time to use his welder...
