He looks pretty good.  What did he weigh?  We used Effective, but they are a little too small in my opinion.  Lots of them are under 70lbs.  I'm not sure that they'll have enough grow.

Thank you for your thoughts. He has gained quite a bit since he was born. He was 2 weeks early. He was 55lbs when he was born. I haven't weighed him since.

If hell gro-hell develope into a REAL good calf-with alot of butt and hip-for 55 pounds he allready is much stouter than a straight Angus of that wieght-but those gangly Angus come on like gangbusters and hopefully so will he-Hats off for crossing this way-Ive posted alot JMO about how good this cross is-and mainly get negative feedback in the BOSS HOG LINGO-from a yet unknown superior Angus breeder who judging from the POMPOUS S%$#*t ive heard would have to be from Texas: no offence to the good guys from down there-and there are many:DITTO Oklahoma. Although there is a "judge" (or court reporter) who would deny the existance of such a calf because nothing is allowed to be bred to Angus-I would think Jake (the Angus man) would be proud of a calf like that and "awl dat Jazz"-keep us posted as he grows-gotta like a thick calf with that kind of hip-from the long forgotten best British cross of em all- Shorthorn X Angus O0

Took calf to the county fair. He weighed 450 averaged about 2.5lbs a day. Took 3rd over all. Beat out some of the big name sires. I am honestly impressed with this boy! Nothing but good remarks from the judge.
