Was wondering if anyone who attended the sale (Shorthorn Jr Nats) could post the results. We couldnt make it but put in a couple bids but didnt end up getting anything, and was just told we didnt get them, we were just wanting to see what things brought. Lots of different this- very interesting....!!!! Thanks. Surely someone made it there and has some results....

The sale grossed $42,000 not including the Silent Auction that closed Saturday @ 12N.

I got to the auction when it was just over half done. I was supposed to be in E Lansing by noon that day but had three terrible flights. I got onto 3 flights, all of which taxied out to the runway, and then decided to head back to the terminal because of tech problems. As a result I was 6 hours later than expected. I am supposed to be getting the complete results ( I hope!) so I will post some if they get here. BTW, the Reserve Grand heifer is a full sib to the heifer we picked out at Sullivan's last May.

At horn Nationals, the GC was THF, out of CF Solution x WHR Sonny (not your favorite, I know.  Cyclone Trace bred her.  Everything seemed more moderate this year, just a smaller set of cattle.

A big thank you to all involved with putting on the JR Nationals in Spencer!!!!! In all 4 of our past Jr Nationals, you definetly topped them and set the bar mighty high for those to come. Again thanks for all of the hard work done behind the scenes to make it great.

Because we were robbed and it's still painful so I just wasn't going to talk about it! (clapping)

Iowa does a fabulous job with Jr. Nationals this is our 3rd one in Iowa and they just keep getting better, thanks so much to the Iowa Maine Association!
I don't know about everyone else, but for our family it was a huge relief not to have to worry about getting everyone fed, you all did a great job with meals and it is really appreciated!

That Max Rosa heifer was VERY impressive.  I walked thru the barn and could just tell she was going to be it again.  She has to be one the the better ones to come along in some time, maybe since Cherri 205.  She is definately more my kinda female!

Where is the Shorthorn deal next year?

I believe it is in Indianapolis in 2011 followed by Grand Island, Nebraska in 2012, if I heard right.

I thought it was going back to Kansas City in '12

I wish they would keep it in KC all the time, with the Maines and Chis at the same time. That was a ton of fun in 08.

From what I understand (and I may be wrong on this) the offer was made to all the breeds to come back to KC with the facilities donated by Crosby/Kemper, you'd have to be nuts to pass up free funding in my book.
I really like having those 3 breeds together simply because so many of our calves are double registered, it really makes it nice to be able to compete a 2 Jr. Nationals at the same time.
It is also my understanding that the Maine, Chi and Chars will be together in KC in 2011
