The results are posted on the web site - kansasbeefexpo.com.

I would like to thank all those that participated in this years event, I hope everyone had a great time and a safe trip home.

Quint

Quint,
I had a great time showing and was amazed at the number of cattle. Dad liked the bulls and the sale.

We only brought a Shorthorn but would have brought our Red Angus if we had known there was going to be enough for their own class. Which was a great thing. Next time I will call you to check.

Thanks to all who provided support for the show. (clapping)

Concerning the LiveAuctions.TV issue I thought this was very nice of them:

Quote
Dear Live Auctions Viewer,

Saturday, we encountered two technical issues:

 1) A Broken Camera at the Wish List Sale.

    2) A Microsoft Vista computer that would lock up when we tried to edit the sound settings at the Kansas Beef Expo.

First of all, I am sincerely sorry.
We are constantly talking about trying to make sure things like this do not happen again.
We have talked about it and come to the conclusion to webcast music at least two hours prior to the sale.
This will encourage everyone to set-up early and allow us to find these Issues.
Despite these issues, we still were able to sell a few lots at each sale.  Thanks Bidders.
If you have any suggestions, please contact me directly.

Nice doesn't sell cattle. Between the start time and "technical difficulties", you can tell where the sale ranks in importance. If I was a consignor I would not have been a happy fellow especially if I knew I had money coming over the net. My family has been strong advocates of the KBE in the past so for me to force myself to watch the sale shows how much work needs to be done. I know one of the reasons my folks went down was to attend the sale but were unable to stay due to the hour and 45 minute delay I wonder how many others were like that.

There are three kinds of people in life: those who can count and those who can't.

Wasn't one of the problems that soooo many people showed up and that throwed the schedule because of the large classes.
People can't believe we have such a big moon for such a small town.

Yea, there were a lot of cattle there and the classes were pretty big.  I heard over 60 extra animals but that is just hear say.
I like Cows.  That is all.

I think like in the shorthorn sale if you could get 5 shorthorn breeders together and each bring 4 head you could put together a good one. You would have to advertise in the shorthorn country which is expensive. You would have to bring in people from Oklahoma,Nebraska, Missouri, and Colorado for buyers. It would be best to be of a clubby type probably. It seems like everybody is worried about cost's and none is really one the same page, everybody wants to bring one,and it just really hasn't worked out. Everbody is to independent in attitude and planning wise. This is one really monday morning quarterback opinion also so I Don't know.
