Kansas Shorthorn assn annual meeting 2019
« on: January 26, 2019, 07:30:07 PM »
Just got back from the meeting. Had a good turnout at Wilson Kansas. Some new good blood on the board. The Kansas Shorthorn Board will revamp the web site. Marty's daughter is in charge of it and she is smart. Nancy Heter is on the national board.....gave a report....she is sharp. Very positive meeting. Kevin Gibler has gone above and beyond........trying to bring things together. Wilson, Ks is a cool little town. Keith and Nadine Lauer there. They are both older than Moses. Registrations and memberships are all up at a national level. I will try and shut the hell up. I did spend 6 years on the board. My wife the Supreme Commander did 6 years on board. According the the Shorthorn country our herd had 6 performance dams.....or whatever they are this year. I will post no more on this board as I am a problem. John Musgrave spoke things about the Vietnam war that people didn't want to hear. I will post no more on steerplanet. It's best for everybody.
People can't believe we have such a big moon for such a small town.

Keep posting AJ. You have good positions to offer, most of the time!
If it was easy, everyone would succeed.

That stung a little for you to write that last part didnt it? You got triggered a little. Never thought Id see the day the political correct warriors would get you down. Wolves dont care what a sheeps opinion is.

Sounds like the Kansas association is in good hands. The Lovings are on instagram and post some nice cattle on there. The Lauer cattle speak for themselves. In my opinion the KL Cows are the top commercial cows the breed has to offer. Why in the name of all things holy dont you use his genetics AJ? Or do you already?

Id like to see more sire evaluation tests done. Preferably ones that dont cost each producer a small fortune.

You should post more pictures of those line bred bulls of yours. Ive been breeding my hogs up super tight genetic wise and so far no train wrecks or deformities.

Progress is not about using progeny differences to change cattle, it is about sustaining the good ones absent self-inflicted problems.

AJ;  Dont leave Steer Planets Big Show!  The name in itself explains some the comments and posts.  If you are truly concerned, just IGNORE KNABE AND XBAR!  Post positive things about your program and cattle!

Lol how did my name get brought in this. Why would there ever been an AJ and Xbar cage match!?!?   I think AJ is one of the most genuine people on here. I enjoy his fb posts as well.  I imagine he despises the salesman types equally as much as I do. While Im not into the artifacts like AJ is, hes the type of people I like: honest and passionate! About something!! I enjoy Knabes perspectives as well. Most of which go over the heads of steer planets general audience, but food for thought nonetheless.  I came to this site after their situation developed but I always get a laugh out of their banter.
